Description
Natural green earth pigment from Italy. Used in frescoes found in Pompeii. Used in the Middle Ages as an underpainting color for flesh tones, and as a base for gilding.
Contains the minerals celedonite and glauconite, with potassium, aluminum, iron and magnesium.
Likely to be suitable for oils, watercolors / gouache, tempera, ceramics. We have not tested all these media.

General protective measures: Always wear a dust mask, gloves, apron and eye protection. Keep away from foodstuffs and drinks. Do not eat, drink or smoke during work. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Do not allow children or pets to contact these art materials.
