Description
In ancient China, the color yellow was reserved for members of the Imperial family. Yellow represented the sun and the precious metal, gold. By the time of the Qing Dynasty (1600 CE), each yellow hue was codified with the familial placement of the individual wearing it.
This brilliant “marigold” yellow is used in the Asian set.
